In spring 2013 I joined forces with the storytelling group, Firehouse Films. Writers and directors were randomly paired up, and we were set the challenge to create a short film from concept to completion within one month.
I was united with the fantastic writer Robert Lee, and from an original stimulus source provided by Firehouse Films, we created QUOTA.
I won a competition with the London Short Fim Festival and Bestival to shoot a short at Bestival this year. The theme was HMS Bestival, so I decided upon a modern reinterpretation of a classic Hans Christian Andersen fairytale.
Something Old is the story of Catherine, a bride preparing for her big day.
I made this short with Delyth Scudamore, Harry Scoble-Rees and Matthew J. Smith. It was the first fully crewed and cast short I directed and I had a fantastic time making it.
